September 25 – 29, 2017

Whew! Hot indoor recesses this week.  So happy the weather has changed!

We had fun with Spirit Week! Hope to see you at the football game!

Remember to collect for Walk-a-thon. This year we are raising money that will go towards technology to support reading, writing, and math programming at all grade levels. If each student raises about $35, we will meet our goal!

Next week:

Tuesday – Fire safety presentation from area fire fighters.

Wednesday – Hearing Screening

MathTesting on Unit 1 adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers. The review test coming home will show your student EXACTLY what he/she needs to work on for the final test on Friday.

Writing – Finalizing our best rough draft of our personal narratives;

Reading – Beginning a new unit and a new read aloud, Tiger Rising –focusing on character development. Congratulations to Lydia, Tristan and Olivia for meeting the home reading goal of 400 minutes for the month. Several students still owe me home reading logs for September!

Government – Beginning a new unit on why we need government, the 3 branches, and the powers.

We have completed our “Guess Who’s”.  It has been very fun!  Have a great weekend.
