Happy Earth Day this weekend! Our fourth grade “green team” bagged hundreds of white pine seedlings for each student at Alward to take home and plant for Earth Day.

We have three busy weeks coming up preparing for M-Step and taking the M-Step beginning Tuesday, May 1. Please avoid any appointments in the morning or absences during the two weeks beginning May 1. Please help your students prepare with a good breakfast ( :

Math: Unit 5 is measurement AND Unit 8 is geometry. we are doubling up on math work to be ready for M-Step. Math partners:

Reading and writing will be M-Step practice sessions next week. Remember to continue filling out the reading logs at home for April!

“Link up” field trip next week:  Tuesday, April 24 is our trip to the Frauenthal Performing Arts Center in Muskegon.  Remember sack lunches and disposable drink for that day. After our trip, we will stop at Hagar Park to eat our lunch and run out our energy from sitting all morning. This is a non-chaperoned trip due to limited space. I’ll provide lots of pictures. It really is a great experience for the students!
